Time off at Langkawi

The week I was going to go off to the Island of Langkawi, I felt "sick" was coming to get me. So in order to stop "sick" from coming, I drank lots of water & it kept "sick" in for a week.

On the day I was coming back to KL, our flight was delayed for 2 1/2 hours which made me reach home & put my tired head to bed at 12.30am. On Monday, I started work & only reached home at 8.45pm. On Tuesday at 10.30 pm. On Wednesday, had an event at night at Borneo Baruk Club in KL, reached home at 11:30pm.

That was when "sick" decided to crawl back up & here I am on MC. I have been getting sick more recent then it used to be. & my family keeps calling me a "weakling". 

Anyway, a quick update on my little trip to Langkawi with the boyfriend. We have been planning to go on a trip together and decided to land in Langkawi. Ask the boyfriend, not me. I wanted Redang/Perhentian but he won! So next time, my call! 

 

Day 1

Took half day off on 21st Aug as our flight was only at 6.35pm. No delays, everything was good. Hotel was only 2km from the airport but every taxi wanted to charge us RM12. 

Got to the hotel, collected our car, checked in and went to find food. Decided to eat the food at the hotel: Teppanyaki by the pool. The service sucked big time! & naturally, the food sucked as well.

Here is a pic of our hotel room. They gave us 2 queen size bed because the King size were taken up. Really spacious!

After dinner, we decided to drive out. Got into the car & walla, No petrol!! The light was blinking *curse the car rental guy!*. So we pumped petrol & decided to just go for RM20 but the light still didn't go off. So we thought the stupid thing was spoiled. Calculated, RM20 can bring us about 100km.

We were also kinda lucky that night. The boyfriend wind down the window full & it didn't want to go back up. After multiple attempts, it finally went up! Not long after that, thunder storm! Serious shit thunder storm!

Day 2

We woke up to continuous thunder storm. Lucky we had a car. So decided to grab some food and head to Kuah Town since its raining.

Malibu is my favorite & they had all types of Malibu there for only RM42 a bottle! Coconut, passion fruit, mango, pineapple!! Nyum.... 

The boyfriend kept bugging me about going to the padi field so when we saw one on the way, he immediately stopped the car & came down for pictures. 

We went quite a few places that day including the Mahsuri Mausoleum. That was where the most horrible thing happened. Our car died because no petrol at 92km.

Asked around & thank you God for being on our side. There was a small "kedai runcit" nearby selling petrol in bottles. Must be common for visitors to run out of petrol there. *he he*

We then headed to Black Sand Beach. & the name tells it all! The sand was really black. Wonder why.

While on the way to Berjaya Hotel to check out the beach there, we came across a sesat place called "Telaga Harbour park". Its where yacht dock & rich people drink & dine. Really nice place.

The whole day it was either raining or gloomy.

Night time came and we ate maggi mee which tasted so good! Too tired to go out. And we bought sinful stuffs! So blardy cheap! After dinner in room, we went down to the beach, ordered a can of pineapple juice and sprite & quietly opened our liquor & poured into the cup. *slurp* 

 

Day 3

The sun is out!! & hot hot hot!

Headed for breakfast then to Oriental Village where the cable car was at!

Trained eagle. Super huge! I think they are not trained just drugged...

The cable car was full with visitors! That we decided to just come back the next day. So we ended up feeding sang kancil & rabbits!

hehe this picture is hilarious! The boyfriend was taking the picture & I jumped "snapped"! Just in time to catch my head jumping in the air. 

The water there looked so blue doesn't it? But after this, we headed down to the beach at our hotel. Sun was still shining hot & the sea was the same color as this. But in the water, can't even see your feet! Blardy hell...

At night, we treated ourselves to seafood dinner near Kuah Town. The place called "Yummie Yummie", recommeded by the cigar man.

Order like there was no tomorrow, ate like pigs. 1kg 250gram of crab, sotong, mantis prawn, vege, lala, 1 can of heineken, 2 glasses of apple juice & 2 rice: RM96. I think its quite cheap.

Day 4

Was suppose to go for the cable car but decided to skip that as well. Plus it was raining again so we headed to Kuah Town to just get our chocolates, liquor & ciggies for home.

Spend RM114 on chocolates alone!

Checked out from the hotel at 6pm (we extended our stay for RM50), went to the airport, had dinner. Everything was perfect as our flight was at 8pm and check in time was at 7pm. Was walking towards the gate when they announce the delay n flight! Damn... Thats for saying "I don't want to go home! So sad!".

So we took a lot of stupid pictures while waiting.
